I just finished watching this great documentary on hulu about Herb and Dorothy Vogel and had to share it
“HERB & DOROTHY tells the extraordinary story of a postal clerk and a librarian who managed to build one of the most important contemporary art collections in history with very modest means. ”
The film is about 1 and 1/2 hours, so wait until you have the time to sit and watch:
Which art collection did they build? I’m not in the States so I’m blocked from watching the video on your post….

They built a minimalist collection while this type of art was being made and their collection is a very well done chronicle of that type of art. The film is interesting because the collection is so huge and so well done – by such ordinary people. It’s not so much about what type of art they collected, but their way of collecting. The collection is their life and it’s just a good story. Wish you could see it somehow.
